Flat Cut Gaskets and Sheet Products

Flat-Gaskets

We offer a comprehensive range of quality recognised brands of materials, including Non-Asbestos Fibre, flexible graphite, Inorganic fibre, modified PTFE styles, which can be cut to any shape or size. Our most common range are Raised Face and Full Face Gaskets to ASME standards.

We keep an extensive range of sheet material in stock, and this means we can design and manufacture gaskets for a wide range of clients in many industries, and to a wide range of specifications and tolerances.
Common non-Asbestos products
These are available in thicknesses of 0.4mm, 0.8mm, 1.6mm, and 3.2mm. Sheet size is generally 1500mm x 1500mm (1500mm x 3000mm on request). Flat ring gaskets are recommended for class 150# and 300# application.

Expanded PTFE sheet
This material requires low compressive loads to seal, and can resist temperatures of -260°C, to plus 260c and is an exotic material impervious to most chemicals. Acid and chemical resistant, it is a popular choice for electrical insulation. Specifications:. Available in 1.5, 3mm 6mm thicknesses. Sheet size 60 inches by 60inches (1500mm x 1500mm)

Neoprene rubber / CR (Chloroprene)
Neoprene has good chemical stability, and maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range. It is used in a wide variety of applications, mostly where water is involved.

Insertion rubber
Insertion rubber has good physical properties, some abrasion resistance and low temperature flexibility. It is .manufactured with cotton reinforcement, to improve tear resistance and tensile strength. It is a good general purpose rubber, and is often used where water is involved.

Nitrile rubber / NBR (Buna N)
This form of synthetic rubber is generally resistant to oil, fuel, and other chemicals It is used extensively in petro-chemical industries.

EPDM rubber / (Ethylene – propylene diene)
The main properties of EPDM are its outstanding heat, ozone and weather resistance. The resistance to polar substances and steam are also good. It has excellent electrical insulating properties. It is not suitable for fuels and oils.

This rubber is characterized by a wide range of applications. It is used in seals, hosing, electrical insulation, It is also used as a medium for water resistance in electrical cable-jointing, roofing membranes, geomembranes, rubber mechanical goods, plastic impact modification, thermoplastic, vulcanizates, and in many other applications.

Viton rubber / Fluoroelastomer
The key characteristic of this product is its ability to withstand higher temperatures and to resist a wide range of concentrated chemicals and acids.
