Firm metallurgical bonding is established between stainless steel clad plate base plate manufactured with hot rolling technology and stainless steel. The stainless steel clad plate base plate shows good mechanical property, and can be processed by hot-pressing, cold-bending, incision and welding. Base material can adopt various plain carbon steel and container steel, including Q235B, Q345R, etc. Cladding material can adopt stainless steel of different grades, including 304, 316L, 1Cr13 and duplex stainless steel

Explosive bonding (also known as explosive welding) is a solid state joining process in which the clad metal is driven into the base metal by the explosive energy, which also sets up an angular collision. At the impact point of two components,a thin layer is stripped from both colliding surfaces and is ejected as a molten metal jet. The plasma jet acts to remove oxides and impurities from bothe metals, surfaces, leaving behind clean metal for joining. The two surfaces are in intimate contact under extreme pressure enabling the bond to be formed. Under the function of high temperature, high pressure and plasticity deformation, the metallurgicabond between atoms is created in two surfaces.
